Free, paid and pricing
How to set each episode as free or paid and set its price.
Setting free or paid
You set each episode as free or paid, one at a time. Newly uploaded episodes start as Free.
- On the work editor's Content tab, click an episode.
- Under Who can watch, turn on the Paid episode switch.
- Under Price below it, set the number of coins. Before the episode is on sale, Save draft saves the price with the draft. For an episode already on sale, press Save new price.
- Trailers, specials and Shorts are always free.
- Only the channel Owner can set prices.
- You can only change the free or paid setting in Creator Center on the web.
Price
- Set prices in steps of 10 coins.
- The screen shows a recommended price that fits the episode's length. Press Use recommended price to fill it in right away. You can also save a price higher than the recommendation.
- If you change the price, viewers who already rented the episode keep watching on the terms they rented it under.
You can enter and save a draft price before the release rights are confirmed. Saving the draft does not start sales. Rentals start only after the work is published and the required approval and release conditions are met.
If payments are off on this server, viewers cannot rent yet.
How do viewers buy?
Viewers rent paid episodes with coins they top up in the app. New rentals last one year (365 days) from the rental transaction. Playback does not extend the expiry. Rentals made before this change keep their original terms. For details, see Coins and paid episodes.
Earnings
Revenue sharing and payouts follow the Monetization and Payout Policy. A screen for checking earnings in Creator Center is in preparation. See also Creator terms and earnings.
