Review and publishing
The order of review and publishing after you press publish.
Publishing
Drafts are not reviewed. Review starts when you press Publish now. If you edited a work that is already public, press Publish now as well to publish your changes.
When you press Publish now, things happen in this order.
- Your work is saved.
- If video processing is not finished, it waits: "Processing the video. It is published as soon as that is done."
- A review request goes to CLIFF operations: "Sent for review. It can be published once approved."
- You get a notification when it is approved. Press Publish now again to make it public to viewers.
When publishing is done, you are taken to the viewer's work page (watchcliff.com/work/work-address).
What to fill in before publishing
- The work's title and synopsis
- A video and title for each episode
- At least 1 video set to public
If anything is missing, the screen shows what is needed.
If you edit during review
If you press Save draft during review, that review request is canceled. When you finish editing, press Publish now again to send a new request.
If changes are requested
The work's status changes to Changes requested and you see "CLIFF operations asked for changes. See the note." Make the changes the note asks for, then press Publish now again.
Editing a work that is already public
If you add episodes or edit details on a public work, it goes through review again. Until it is approved, viewers see the previous version.
Paused works
CLIFF operations can pause a work if there is a policy violation or a rights issue. While a work is paused, even viewers who already rented it cannot watch, and once the issue is resolved, the owner publishes it again.
Content you cannot upload
You cannot upload the content below. For detailed standards, see the Content Policy and the Copyright and Takedown Policy.
- Content that sexualizes children or minors

- Content that infringes others' rights, such as copyright or portrait rights
- Content that encourages crime or self-harm, or incites hatred
Work details (title, synopsis, poster, keywords) must match the actual content. Passing review does not guarantee that your rights or legality are confirmed.
